2. Find the missing numbers in the following proportions.

3. Solve the following usning unitary method.

The method of finding the value for one unit and further using it to find the value of multiple units is known as unitary method.

Note: In "unitary method" the word "unit" stands for "one".

a)    Anita bought a dozen eggs for 72. How much does he have to pay if he buys 19 eggs?

 

b)   987 bricks are needed to build a 3 m high wall. How many bricks will be needed to build a 7 m high wall?

 

c)    Sushant earns ₹6000 by working for 5 days. Find:

a. How much can he earn in 27 days?

b. How many days does he have to work to earn *24,000.

 

   d) Mr. Verma pays an annual rent of 63,600. Find the rent for 8 months.

  e) If 50 bottles can hold 750 L of oil, how many bottles are required to   hold 11,250 L of oil?
